Established Track Record

WB Land is part of the bigger WB Group that has been serving mainly listed companies for the past 46 years. As a construction and engineering-based group, our strong suit is in implementation and we have built a brand that is identifiable with dependability and quality assurance.

Pre-1976

THE BEGINNING

In the early 1970s, WB started off by providing construction services to plantations and oil mills. It has set up its first asphalt plant in Masai, which is one of the only few in Ulu Choh at that time. This became the core foundation of WB, that is to be self-reliant and nurturing our own expertise.
1976

TURNING PROFESSIONAL

This year sees the incorporation of WB and the professionalisation of our services. One of the first project completed under this new structure was Taman Sentosa for Daiman Development.
1980

GAINING MATURITY

1980s brought much commercialisation to Johor Bahru and WB was a significant contractor for residential and commercial projects.
1996

SECURING MATERIAL SUPPLY

With booming developments, WB’s work order was consistent, requiring a stable supply of aggregate materials. That resulted in the setting up of its first quarry plant at Puteri Wangsa.
1997

RAPID GROWTH

This period sees the opening up of vast townships further from the city such as Bukit Indah and Puteri Wangsa. In these 2 projects, WB were the first to provide the initial infrastructure and beyond.
2004

DESIGN-AND-BUILD

WB undertook a RM16million design-and-build project to upgrade Johor Port. What makes this project stand out is its long concrete road to sustain heavy loads and high volume of traffic.
2007

FIRST PROJECT FOR WCT BHD

WCT, as the leading infrastructure builder in Malaysia, awarded WB a contract to build all external infrastructure for AEON Bukit Indah. This marks the beginning of WB’s relationship with WCT.
2009

AWARDED RM87MILLION CONTRACT

Awarded by WCT, WB were responsible for building a total of 70kilometre from green-field. As one of Johor’s most strategic project, it hosts a range of projects such as Legoland and Afiniti by Temasek.
2011

CAPABILITY IN HANDLING COMPLEX PROJECTS

Overcoming complication of crossing North-South Expressway, KTM Railroad and Senai-Desaru Expressway and more, WB played in a key role in providing better linkage from Impian Emas to Senai Airport. This road were built for Lee Rubber to provide the main infrastructure for their future development.
2013

EXPANSION INTO DEVELOPMENT

Nothing is more appropriate than to expand into Development under a solid foundation. WB has now a complete suite of capability under one roof: Design, construction and project management. WB’s foray into development, Frontier Industrial Park, represents our ideal in delivering real value to end-users.
